Connecters for Pocket Pal solar chargers

Devices such as PDA's, Cell Phones, Game Boys, iPODS Cameras, Laptops (and the list goes on) that are rechargeable can be re-charged with an Aurora Solar compact solar charger. Some devices have a cradle that lets the unit sit in and by way of being plugged into the wall socket will allow it to charge. Then there are what is called travel type chargers. They are more mobile and consist of a plug or an adapter that plugs into the device, which is connected to a cigarette lighter in an automobile....or a wall socket in a hotel or a friends house. Sometimes it uses the same connection that the cradle employed, and sometimes it uses a totally different access point such as a little hole in the side( to determine if this is indeed the charge point, it will have a voltage reading, ex. 5 volts). Another way to deliver a charging current to your device is by way of a USB connection on your computer. A USB cable will deliver a charging current to your device. You have to have a cable with the proper adapter on one end (for your device...if available) and a USB on the other.

So ...as far as connecters are concerned, if you want to solar charge your device you have 4 main options:

1. Buy a solar charger with the matching connecter.

2. Buy a solar charger with a USB or a cigarette lighter connecter (female). You plug your USB or cigarette lighter cable (for your device) to our charger. We can order these for you also. e-mail

3. Be creative (or desperate) and splice your own connecter...not hard, and we can guide you!!

4. This fourth option is not relevant to any connecters or adapters. If your device runs on "AA" or "AAA" or any other re-chargeable batteries, you can take the batteries out and slip them into a battery holder....which then connects (using a standard connecter) to the solar charger.
